It has always been our belief that the little things – like socks – have the power to make a big difference. It was this conviction that led us to launch our Sock Amnesty a few years ago.

The Sock Amnesty is a chance for you to have a bit of a cathartic sock drawer clear out while also making a positive impact. Gifted pairs that aren’t really your style? Well-loved socks that have lost their lustre? We want them all as we think it’s time they achieved a higher purpose and help spread some warmth to those in need through our charity partners.

This year we are partnering with The Reclaimery again to upcycle and transform your unwanted pairs in useful, warm items for those in need via Give Your Best UK, an award-winning non-profit organisation that provides women and children who are refugees, seeking asylum and others experiencing clothing poverty in the UK with access to an online platform of donated clothes that they can “shop” for free.

After we receive your socks, we will pass them onto our partner for Sock Amnesty 2023 – The Reclaimery. This fantastic organisation repurposes garments into unique, limited edition collections with higher quality or value than the original.

Their mission is to reclaim the fashion industry and support our planet through a socially conscious system that creates job opportunities for London’s vulnerable communities. By extending the life of the garments, adding value and saving them from landfill, they are creating a truly circular economy. Once the socks are received, a team of ‘Reclaimers’ will transform all the donated socks into functional, warm fingerless gloves and neck warmers to be donated to those in need via Give Your Best and our other wonderful charity partners.
